Women Innovating Together exists to provide visibility, community, and resources for women working with Claris products, including but not limited to FileMaker. Women Innovating Together (WITfm) is a volunteer-run 501(c)3 nonprofit that seeks to advance women who are interested in learning and working with Claris software. We provide networking opportunities, scholarships, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. WITfm is comprised of women, and advocates for women around the world, who work in various roles including developers, analysts, entrepreneurs, project managers, consultants, administrators, support services, trainers, and many more.
Our History
Joyce Lillemon Boschert was one of the first women to attend a Women of FileMaker event. Joyce attended her first DevCon in 1998 in Monterey, California. She was thrilled to meet so many people who were excited about FileMaker – just like her! After her first year, she was hooked. In 1999 the first unofficial Women of FileMaker (WoF) meet up was a breakfast where four women gathered together. Joyce learned so much and looked forward to DevCon every year. Over the years, Joyce has seen WoF grow, and she was able to contribute twice as a speaker, a professional highlight for her. Joyce says, “I’ve made good friends and learned so much. I can actually say that FileMaker changed my personal and professional life”. Officially, FileMaker, Inc. has been involved in planning the logistics of this luncheon since 2006 – 11 years! But we’re pretty sure Joyce kicked this off a lot further back than that! We invite any woman who is new to FileMaker, or a first time DevCon attendee to consider joining us for this years luncheon. We look forward to seeing you, and having you join this growing community!
This year, we are proud to re-launch as a non-profit under our new name, Women Innovating Together, Inc., (WITfm) #WITfm.
